A joke on mathematicians

I read this awfully funny maths tweet the other day regarding the whole Navier-Stokes fiasco:

"Threatening a mathematician with career consequences makes no sense because people who don't care about career, jobs, income are exactly the kind of people who become full time mathematicians."

I know people like this irl. I talked to one of them about this, and he was quick to add "recognition" to the list citing Grigori Perelman.
